Mohd Muzammil Asnan
Group Risk Management
Muzammil joined ValueCAP’s Corporate Assurance Department, Compliance Division in 2012 as Vice President.
His role was expanded in July 2013 upon appointment as the Vice President for Risk and Compliance covering Enterprise Risk Management and Business Continuity Management for the Group. Currently Muzammil is Senior Vice President, Group Risk Management overseeing risk management, compliance and governance related matters for the Group.
Prior to ValueCAP, he was a senior supervisor at the Central Bank of Malaysia with extensive experience in banking and financial supervision encompassing financial services policy and regulatory development, anti-money laundering initiatives and the money services business. Before, Muzammil was a senior executive at the Great Eastern Life Assurance serving new businesses, life and financial underwriting, claims administration, client servicing and finance. Muzammil had also served Exxon Malaysia as a contract accountant/analyst in the company’s offshore drilling and accounting group. At Exxon, Muzammil was responsible for managing project accounts, corporate assurance, joint venture finance and streamlining of financial reporting with global practices.
Muzammil earned his MSc. in Economics, Finance and Management from the University of Bristol, the U.K., a BSc. in Finance and International Business, (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Bridgeport, the U.S. and a Diploma in Business from the MARA University of Technology. He had attended extensive regional technical courses organized by supranational agencies like the SEACEN Centre, the Asian Development Bank, the Federal Reserve Bank, the Australian Prudential Regulatory Authority and APEC.
