About ValueCAP

ValueCap Sdn. Bhd. (Valuecap) was incorporated in October 2002 as an investment holding company equally-owned by Khazanah Nasional Bhd., Permodalan Nasional Bhd. and Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan). The formation of Valuecap exhibited the Government’s commitment to promote greater efficiency in the domestic capital markets by creating larger pools of institutional investors.

Governed by an independent Board of Directors, Valuecap commenced operations on 10 January 2003. The Company is principally involved in the business of investments in listed securities on Bursa Malaysia.

Principally a value investor, the Company seeks to provide superior long term returns to its stakeholders through its long-term investments premised upon a rigorous and disciplined investment process.

Mandate
Valuecap is given the mandate to invest in listed securities on Bursa Malaysia. All investment decisions made by Valuecap are independent from the investment decisions or strategies of its shareholders. Valuecap’s investment decisions are made based on its investment guidelines approved by its Board of Directors. As specialist equity managers, its investment mandate is fundamentally driven, thriving on a rigorous investment selection process. Also in place is a clearly defined asset allocation policy that allows it to optimise on its returns in the long term.

Subsidiary
Valuecap incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary, i-VCAP Management Sdn. Bhd. (i-VCAP), a licensed Fund Manager, on 25 October 2007.  i-VCAP currently manages the National ETF, MyETF-DJIM25 which was listed on 31 January 2008. i-VCAP is governed by an independent group of Directors and Investment Committee representing both its shareholders and also independent Directors.
